A recent addition to the Rackel Belzil team, Raj joined the firm in March 2017 and has since become a valuable member of the firm. After obtaining his law degree from the University of Alberta in 2011, Raj articled at a large firm in Calgary before returning to his hometown of Edmonton after being called to the bar in 2012. Since then, Raj has carried on a broad litigation practice with a focus on civil litigation, employment and construction litigation matters. More recently, Raj has also gained valuable experience in estate litigation and insurance matters.
Raj is a passionate advocate and he prides himself on his ability to provide exceptional legal service to his clients throughout all stages of the litigation process. He has experience resolving disputes in several areas, including those involving builders’ lien matters, disputes between beneficiaries, wrongful dismissal matters, and judicial review of tribunal decisions amongst others.

Raj is a diehard sports fan and a loyal supporter of the Edmonton Oilers. He enjoys giving back to the community and his volunteer experience includes being a head coach for several years in the Edmonton Minor Soccer Association, and a continuing volunteer at the Edmonton Community Legal Centre.
