After 8 dedicated years with the firm, Stephanie Bachelet has decided to continue her career with the Canadian Armed Forces’ Judge Advocate General office. We wish Stephanie every success in this new and exciting direction.
Herman is a 2016 graduate of the University of Saskatchewan College of Law and was called to the bar in Alberta in 2017. A lifelong Edmontonian, Herman is a key addition to our team and will support all of our firm’s practice areas. We are especially proud that Herman has shown his commitment to the community through extensive volunteering.
Congratulations to Rackel Belzil’s own Shayla Thomas! Shayla passed the grueling CORES III exam on May 6, 2021 and is now qualified to handle the highest level of Alberta’s Corporate Registry services.

Retirement of Phil Lefebvre, KC
It is with mixed feelings of sadness and well wishes that we announce Philippe Lefebvre's retirement effective April 1, 2020. Called to the Alberta Bar in 1979, Phil has practiced law for 41 years in Edmonton, the last 8 years with Rackel Belzil LLP. He will be truly missed by his co-workers, clients, and the many, many friends he has made during his distinguished career. Phil goes out in style since he was recently honoured by the Province of Alberta with the award of Queen’s Counsel, a distinction given to members of the legal community who, by their careers, have made a particular contribution to the legal profession.
